USAID's Physical Rehabilitation Activity

Prabin, 6, was born without the lower part of his right leg. The USAID project team first met him five years ago when his family was referred to a rehabilitation center in Biratnagar, Nepal. Since then, he’s advanced by leaps and bounds. He goes to school and loves to play football. Photo: A. Thapa/ Handicap International

USAID Physical Rehabilitation Activity utilizes a health systems strengthening approach to establish an integrated rehabilitation services system. This improves access to quality services through strong public private partnerships. This activity, managed by Handicap International and partners, improves the mobility and functional independence of persons with disabilities and those in need of rehabilitation services in Nepal.

This web-based database and rehabilitation service reporting system is made possible by the support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
